Prince of Stride is an otome game developed by Kadokawa Games & Vridge Inc. for the PlayStation Vita. An anime adaptation developed by Madhouse entitled Prince of Stride Alternative has began airing since January 5, 2016. And a spin-off manga entitled Prince of Stride Galaxy Rush launched in November 2015 in Dengeki Maoh.
The series is about an extreme form of sport known as "Stride", a combination of freerunning, city marathon, parkour and relay. It involves 6 players on a team that runs relay races in towns. The story takes place at Honan Academy where first year high school students Takeru Fujiwara and Nana Sakurai try to recruit members for their "Stride" club. They request Riku Yagami to join with the help of Takeru and Nana. Their goal is to compete and win the "End of Summer," a top competition hosted in Japan alongside other schools.

Takeru Fujiwara is a cool and stoic character, with his only interest being Stride. In middle school, he was a famous Stride player. Normally, Takeru wears black framed glasses, but he uses contacts when he plays Stride in order to run more freely. He seems to have strong faith in Riku's athletic ability as Riku finished in a dead-heat in the 2-on-2 race against Heath. He tends to feel people's legs to determine one's talent. He has great cardiovascular fitness and running speed, so Nana had to delay the call for him to start running , but lacks parkour techniques. ...
